Depending on where you want to hold your wedding, this may mean a restriction on what time of year it can be held, or how many guests can attend. Because of this, you will need to follow PADCNR rules and regulations concerning events. Presque Isle is a Pennsylvania State Park, which means it falls under the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, which prioritizes protecting the peninsula's unique combination of scenery, archaeological significance, and natural habitats. Other pavilions on the peninsula offer less amenities, but can be a wonderful option for couples looking for a more rustic feel. Three pavilions provide indoor/outdoor space for guests and food preparation, and include amenities like restrooms and indoor lighting. Presque Isle offers a number of wedding and reception venues, all of which can accommodate over 100 guests. The tree cover creates dappled areas of sun and shade that make for truly unbelievable pictures. The monument, built in the 1920's, sits in a beautiful, rounded park space offset by classic Art Deco style architecture. Presque Isle is also home to the Perry Monument, a 101-foot tall stone obelisk commemorating the heroism of Oliver Hazard Perry, a naval commander credited with winning the Battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812. The distinctive black band cutting through this classic white tower provides a classic and dramatic backdrop to photos, especially when contrasted against the natural beauty of Lake Erie.

Rocky outcroppings in the surf just beyond the beach provide a taste of the seaboard found nowhere else in our inland state.įittingly called the North Pier Lighthouse, Presque Isle's other lighthouse is located at the edge of the North Pier, providing nearly 360-degree lake views. The 68-foot tall Presque Isle Lighthouse was completed in 1873, and sits on a beautiful sandy beach with natural dunes.

Presque Isle offers two historic lighthouses, both dating to the mid-1800's.
