Here you see them attached to the already moulded on parts of the suspension on the hull. I really over-emphasized the damage (along with a few bullet holes) to keep in the same cartoonish scale detail as the model design. I took to these with a cutting saw and the scalpel to take the nicks out of them that often occurred in heavy road wear. A start is the road wheels, that in real life are rimmed with rubber. Just be sure to remove any paint before adding pieces painted separately.Because the build is so very simple we will keep it brief we will concentrate however on the parts of the kit that the modeller could enhance. Some parts need a little cleanup, but they fit tightly so glue isn't required. The tracks on my daughter's Sherman have begun to disintegrate and are tearing apart. The decals went down like paint and disappeared under a single coat of matte, but the one piece rubber band tracks concern me. There were no problems during construction at all.
Odd choices, I know.ĭuring assembly I chose to remove the spare tracks links from the from slope, delete the turret antenna, remove the oddly shaped and unidentifiable thing from the turret roof, and move the antenna base to the back engine deck. A base coverage of Israeli Sand Grey with Green Brown and U.S. But that's just me I suppose lol.įor this artsy little project I went with some colors that are more artistic choice (because I liked the artwork) than accurate.
My biggest regret is that they don't come with any cartoons figures to go with them. These are fun little kits and great for decompressing, practicing skills, or if you're just simply new or recently returned to the hobby. I'm sure many of you are aquatinted with these fun, cartoons little kits.
